The main beach in Tulum is packed with gorgeous rustic cabanas and great boutique hotels. There are limited options for big houses, but our choice for the week, Behla Tulum, was perfect. The property is owned by a wonderful expat couple, a French husband and American wife who have been living in Tulum for years. There are three houses on the section (all very private) catering to a range of needs, and each house comes with a team of staff who can be there as much or as little as you want.
