It’s hard to imagine a more photogenic location than Pier 24, floating just under the Bay Bridge. Ensconced in a superbly renovated former warehouse, this temple to the photographic art in all its forms spotlights the 2,000-some photos of the Pilara Foundation. The walls are filled with emblematic works by internationally renowned photographers like Walker Evans, Dorothea Lange, Robert Frank and Diane Arbus, as well as more recent pieces by artists like Katy Grannan and Kota Ezawa.
