For those looking for a genuine New York neighbourhood experience, a visit here is a must. Cafe Henrie is a hip, art-focussed and somewhat offbeat cafe that’s frequented by the ‘in’ crowd, as well as locals in the Lower East Side area. Born out of the need for a decent cafe to sit and while away the day, owner Andre Saraiva (who’s know for other popular projects) decided it was high time to create one himself. With the ideals of a Parisian cafe where one can sit, read the paper, drink coffee, congregate with friends, and quite literally see where the day takes you, the menu is light, new age and delicious, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
