Just an hour’s drive south of Hua Hin, this amazing national park covers 98 square kilometers of diverse landscapes, including grassy marshes and a forest-covered lime stone mountain. An abundance of flora and fauna await, but one of the real features is visiting the breathtaking Phraya Nakhon cave. The cave sanctuary of Khao Luang is approximately 28 kms from Hua Hin and is also well worth the effort. The caverns here are filled with ageing Buddha images in various stances, many of them originally placed by King Rama IV. Try and visit around 5pm when evening light pierces the ceiling, surrounding the artifacts below with an ethereal glow.
