AUSTIN.
Jeffrey’s.
By Madeline Saxton-Beer
Austin’s most well respected dining institution surely won’t disappoint with their refined and nostalgic menu.
Jeffrey's
1204 W Lynn St
Clarkesville
A bonafide institution, Jeffrey’s is easily Austin’s most well-respected fine-dining restaurant. Open since 1975, the site was closed for a massive restoration in 2012 before reopening as timeless destination run by the city’s premier hospitality group. Harnessing the region’s eclectic Southern style with a decent dose of sophistication, expect to find prized menu items such as the truffled devilled eggs, the Baked Alaska for dessert and all manner of delicious mains for in between. Although set in a quiet suburb, the bar here is always lively and if you’re anything like me, you’ll have fervent appreciation of the bar cart that circulates the dining area making sure that periods without drink in hand are kept to a minimum.
