A visit to the North Shore isn’t complete without a stopover at Cholo’s Homestyle Mexican restaurant.

We discovered Cholo’s at the end of our trip to the North Shore. Very much a locals-only spot with an extensive cocktail list and menu, this was our favourite ‘non-view’ restaurant in Hawaii. There are hardly any tourists here, which made us feel as if we’ve stumbled across a local favourite – a rewarding find after spending our previous four nights in the Honolulu hub.
