If you happen to be in Hua Hin at the end of August/start of September, the world famous King’s Elephant Polo Tournament is a definite must-see. Watching teams go trunk to trunk is quite the experience and the event also raises money for the benefit of Thailand’s elephants. What started as a small two-day event with six teams has become a week-long extravaganza which in 2010 featured 12 teams from four continents, encompassing 40 players from at least 15 countries.

2013’s tournament runs from 28th of August to the 1st of September.
