A top shopping spot has moved into a grand new premise.

One of my favourite Sydney boutiques has recently relocated from their site on Glenmore Road, Five Ways to the spectacular heritage-listed St Johns Church on Oxford Street. The new store offers the same great brands – Céline, Chloé, Valentino, Isabel Marant and Azzedine Alaia to name a few, however in a much grander setting. The fit out (including restoration and renovation) was completed with the help of Tobias Partners and features a pared back industrial palette with a mixture of finishes and textures – still keeping the original elements like the brick and stained glass windows. I love how the central block almost creates a box within the store that’s framed with strip lighting running the entire way round. Unlike the original boutique which was relatively small for the amount of stock they carried, now the clothing has plenty of room to breathe and be seen.
