Melbourne is laden with tapas eateries but Movida is, hands down, the best of the bunch.

Movida has a modern spin on the standard Spanish tapas, using high quality artisan produce and executing the flavoursome small plates with simple elegance. Two dishes on my ‘must order’ list are the Quince Cigar, beautifully creamy goats cheese wrapped in a thin roll of quince paste and the dried wagyu beef topped with a poached organic egg and truffle foam.

The selection of Spanish wines, Sherrys and Sangrias all complement the food perfectly. Be warned though, Movida is universally acclaimed as one of Melbourne’s best restaurants, so bookings are often needed months in advance. Make sure to book a table, when you book your flights.
