This is quite possibly the best Japanese restaurant in the southern hemisphere.

There’s always a warm welcome at Raw Bar, along with a warm sake and killer gyoza. It’s quite possibly the best Japanese restaurant in the southern hemisphere. Or is that just because they always have the best New Zealand tunes on the playlist when I’m there? You must try the pork belly, and the gigantic raw bar salad is a meal in itself.
