Indulge in delicious Japanese dishes at this lively warehouse restaurant.

Shintori
803 Julu Lu
Jingan district
86 21 5404 5252

Set back from the street on Julu Lu through an unmarked bamboo lined path this lofty monochromatic warehouse is easy to miss. Shintori is even more popular for its dramatic ambiance than contemporary Japanese menu, with a theatrical open kitchen and concrete surfaces lending an industrial quality to the impressive space. Sake is served in famed ‘Spin’ ceramic hand thrown vessels, selected from a choice presented on a tray. Prepared with Japanese precision, the tuna with fatty tuna paste and miso cod are both stand outs.
