The Bay Lights.

A new art installation lights up the harbour at night.

The Bay Lights
Embarcadero

If you’re near the Embarcadero at night, look toward the Bay Bridge. That’s all you have to do to check out one of the city’s newest, most mesmerizing art installations, The Bay Lights. The Bay Bridge itself always plays second fiddle to that other, more golden one, but until March of 2014, The Bay Lights is changing all of that. Artist Leo Villareal has strung series of lights along all of the bridge’s support cables, and created a display that changes every night. The effect is totally surreal and gorgeous as it reflects off the water of the bay.
