Make a beeline for Naivasha to catch a glimpse of vast populations of flamingo in all their pink feathered glory.

Nakuru County
Great Rift Valley
If you’re travelling by car to the Masai Mara, the large game reserve in Narok County, I highly suggest stopping off at the beautiful town of Naivasha on the way. Located on the edge of Lake Naivasha, the area is home to millions of pink flamingo, hippos and other exotic wildlife. If you wish to stay the night, head to Elsamere. It’s a conservation estate and lodge that was once the home of celebrated naturist Joy Adamson; widely renowned for acting as a surrogate mother to orphaned wild cats.
