Speak Low is the brainchild of Shingo Gokan, the man who sparked a Japanese-style cocktail bar craze in New York with his famous Speakeasy, Angel’s Share. Speak Low follows in the same style — a Japanese speakeasy in the former French concession located on Fuxing Road. A good spot for delicious cocktails that is guaranteed to deliver an adventurous evening out, the entrance to the bar is hidden inside a tool shop behind a bookcase.
