While it may seem dubious to step into an old elevator amidst the noodle houses on Swanston St, the coolest rooftop bars in town in homage to the fairytale is well worth the leap of faith. You could easily settle into a booth on the third floor but I’d highly recommend heading up to the terrace. There’s even a retractable roof if the weather decides not to play fair – which it often does in Melbourne! Park up by the bar and watch your hipster bartender shake up a storm and don’t leave without ordering a First Class Fizz (the amazing concoction of gin, Campari, Lillet Blanc, white chocolate and prosecco) with a side of pulled pork sliders.
