It would be criminal to go to the States and not dine in an eatery such as Mama’s Café. It’s quintessentially American. Think stacks of buttermilk pancakes, bubbly mimosas and vinyl booths. This family owned business has been delighting locals for over 50 years, and if you ask anyone of them, they’ll tell you that Mama’s Café is helmed as one of the best breakfast spots in the foggy city.
It’s always busy, and rightly so. The food is tasty, hearty, and generous (even for American standards). The buttermilk pancakes and the omelettes are always a great choice if you’re wanting to soak up the remnants of the night prior. But, if you’re in the mood for something a little more gourmet and rich, the Dungeness Crab benedict with fresh spinach is sure to hit the spot.
