The Mission is an up and coming area which  is full of new restaurants and bars. A few nights ago we ended up at Commonwealth which I really enjoyed. The food was inventive and used a lot of local produce, the service was great and the wine list was small but good. The sardines were exceptional so definitely try those if you decide to venture there.
