Though known to have its slightly grittier corners, Paris’ central quartier, Les Halles, is home to its fair share of upmarket dining spots, counting the lauded contemporary example, Pirouette, as one of them. Offering up refreshingly modern environs with their pared back yet inviting light-washed wood interior, settle in on the ground level and watch the waitstaff nimbly navigate the spiral staircase in delivering meals to the mezzanine above – all the while demonstrating their typical French serving finesse. The foie gras is a no-brainer and will likely come served with slow-cooked egg, or, for those after something more experimental, wrapped in pigeon meat.
