Far be it from me to endorse what is effectively a mall, but from the moment you enter the ground floor entrance via Swanson street and look up, you know your in some place special. The complex encompasses a old industrial smoke stack protected by a massive glass dome – all the more awe inspiring considering the fact that there is no indication of this feature from the outside.

The clothing outlets are cleverly segregated into retail genres.  Novelty, Street Wear, Kids, High End Fashion are all extensively catered for although this is not one of those places where one gets lost.  There is an ambient flow throughout.  If food hall fare is not your digs there are dozens of more boutique eateries attached.  In a city with no shortage of quality shopping precincts, in the heart of the action Melbourne central has soul.
