Riad Madani exudes opulent, bohemian style. It’s where Vogue crews often stay and Mario Testino frequently shoots. This beautiful palace is rich with history and the French/Brazilian couple who have lived here for 12 years clearly cherish its heritage. The riad boasts a huge central garden and the building itself features stunning winding passages, painted wooden ceilings embellished with intricate Moroccan artwork and eccentric tiled bathrooms. Every wall is hung with art, from Picasso, Miro and Andy Warhol to African sketches and enormous Chinese portraits. The 15 rooms are tiled with centuries-old mosaics and antique pieces picked up from European flea markets. This once little-known riad is quickly becoming very popular so be sure to book your stay well in advance.
