When in L.A., it’s vital to get out of the city and go for a hike. Americans call all walks ‘hikes’ whether they are of the big or small variety, but in this case, I really do mean a great big sweat-inducing hike. Runyon Canyon is my favourite. Very quickly you can get a decent view of L.A. stretched out below you, and if you go towards the end of the day, you get the most beautiful light for potentially the best ‘selfie’ you’ve ever shot.
Snakes exist, but they generally hide. Everyone up there walks their dogs, so you’ll see some hilarious examples of what constitutes a ‘cool’ dog in Hollywood.
