If you’re after the typical ‘flat white’ then we suggest you head straight to Nude Espresso.

Every morning I stop at Nude Espresso, a Kiwi-owned café just off Brick Lane that serves flat whites like you get in Ponsonby and an excellent brunch menu with the usual English breakfast or quinoa, chorizo and egg combos. The décor is typical of Antipodean London cafes, with a touch of Kiwiana art. The young mostly-Kiwi and Aussie staff know all of their regulars, who are mainly locals or people working around Liverpool St – although the Brick Lane Sunday markets brings in loads of tourists
