The best place for Friday night cocktails and posh junk-food is renowned Meat Liquor. The cocktail list and burgers (and chilli cheese fries) are worth the hour or two wait! While waiting you are kept warm with waiters offering giant trays of fried onion rings. The Teasling cocktail is to die for – served in a jam jar it’s a posh gin and soda with camomile syrup and cucumber. The whole place is very grungy and original something you expect in Brooklyn but not behind Oxford St Selfridges which is part of its appeal. It is one of the places opened in the junk-food trend that has hit London.
