Understated and über cool, this epic hotel was originally built in 1936 as an ‘ultramodern’ motor court. Welcoming guests and families from all walks of life (yes, dogs included) the bungalow style accommodation is perfectly located right in the middle of the SoCo (South Congress) action.
With some of Austin’s best boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants right outside its entrance, San Jose is arguably one of the city’s best temporary addresses. Be sure to hit the bar at least once (if not multiple times) during your stay to make the most of their famous Champassion cocktail (a deliciously heady combination of Champagne and passionfruit) that is known to drawn in the locals alike.
